Logan in Morning in America by Taylor McWilliams-Woods

"Just hoping things will get better won’t solve anything, and we can’t be complacent in that. As long as there’s action attached to that hope, as long as we can be hopeful about real, actual systemic change..."

—Logan in Morning in America

This piece of documentary theatre used the words of real Americans from across the political spectrum to share a diverse group of perspectives and open up a dialogue “across the aisle." I played Logan, an LGBT activist who is at odds with his conservative father's ideologies. While I'm not quite as outspoken as Logan when it comes to politics, the process of bringing these real words to life has been eye-opening... and not just with Logan, but listening to each of these characters and discovering the common ground we all share.

Around the Town Chicago, Julia W. Rath

"a highly perceptive and entertaining performance, using a cast of six. . . . The smoothly choreographed movements of the actors throughout the minimal/nonexistent, black-curtained set works well in highlighting each person’s mindset. . . . This constant activity gives energy to the presentation, especially in those instances when those with conflicting or competing points of view share the same space."
